Imam's teach Canadians

Reader comment on item: The West's Islamist Infiltrators

Submitted by Infidel (Canada), Aug 17, 2008 at 00:30

Today, Aug 16/08 Saturday, I listen to a Muslim preacher from Calgary. He explained how Islam was a "religion of peace" and how Muslims wished to be friends with people of all religions. He never mentions Muhammad without saying "Peace Be Upon Him". He explained Muhammad's marriage to Safiya(a Jewish woman) and how she loved Muhammad.

What he didn't say, is that Muhammad built a fire on Safiya's husband's chest(a Jew) to force him to reveal where his treasure was hidden. Of course, Muhammad murdered Safaya's husband and took her to bed that very night. Safiya was only 17 years of age and Muhammad was 40 years of age. Muhammad instigated over 70 wars or attacks, mostly on Jews who refused to convert to Islam. He robbed them, murdered them and took their wives for sex. But Islam is a religion of peace, so says the Imam.

Qur'an: Sura 4 Aya 34: Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part you fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them; but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all).

Of course our Imam mentioned this Aya, but he explained that the husband was to gently hit his wife's finger with a tooth brush. Of course I was astonished, I didn't know that in 630AD, Muslims had tooth brushes.

Our truthful Imam from Calgary also made reference to Sura 9 Aya 29: Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Our Imam's explanation; this Aya is very complex and the words do not explain the real meaning. Unfortunately, our Imam failed to explain as to what the real meaning of Sura 9 Aya 29 meant. I've studied the "The Glorious Qur'an" for 7 years and I thought that it was one of the simplest books ever written, but the Imam tells me I'm wrong.
