Reader comment on item: The West's Islamist Infiltrators
in response to reader comment: Why Islam is the Religion of Peace

Middle East scholar Daniel Pipes has argued for years that the solution to Islamism/radical Islam is moderate Islam. But the question is still, who are these moderates and where can they be found. As Pipes states, "Islamism [is] a radical utopian version of Islam. Islamists, adherents of this well funded, widespread, totalitarian ideology, are attempting to create a global Islamic order that fully applies the Islamic law (Shari'a)."

I don't understand how anyone can logically assume that any form of Islam is acceptable.

The Qu'ran is supposed to be the "direct word of god as given to the Angel Gabriel to relay to the prophet Muhammed." According to Islam, there are no mistakes in the Qu'ran. There are no inconsistencies. The Qu'ran is the DIRECT word of god.

Therefore, you do not thumb through the Qu'ran and take from it what you like and leave those things that you don't like. The following words were taken from the Qu'ran and, may I remind you, are the DIRECT WORDS OF GOD:

"Now when you meet the unbelievers, smite their necks until you overcome them fully..." (47:4).

Or this one:

"O you who have attained to faith! Fight against those unbelievers who are near you and let them find you adamant, and know that God is with those who are conscious of Him" (9:123).

Or this one:

"O Prophet! Strive hard (lit., make "jihad") against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be adamant with them... " (66:73).

Yet, perhaps the "poster child" of all the verses in the Qur'an which are cited as evidence that Islam calls for the murder of infidels is this one, the so-called "Verse of the Sword":

"Slay the pagans wherever you may come upon them, and take them captive, and besiege them, and lie in wait for them at every conceivable place..." (9:5).

If these passages are in the Qu'ran and they are the word of god why would "Moderate Muslims" choose to ignore them? Could it be that they are all not natural born killers? That the hive consists of "worker" Muslims as well as "silent" Muslims?

Any Muslim is a threat to free societies. Even the most stoic Muslim will take sides with all Muslims against the infidel. Just because they are not all out bombing buildings doesn't mean they would turn their backs on their fellow radical Muslims.

If you are not standing behind or beside Muslims you would be standing against them! How many Muslims are standing against them? How about NONE.

Wake up! Islam is weapon; not a religion.
