Reading your article on infiltrators brought to mind a recent case locally where I practice medicine. An obstetrician by the name of Mohammad Anvari in Fostoria, OH, who was convicted of channeling more than a million dollars to terrorist organizations in the middle east (his home is Iran), over about 20 years.
Yet this man continued to show up at our medical society meetings, remained active, and there were even apologists for him. I first complained to the Ohio State Medical Society...no response. Then I complained in writing to my County Medical Societ, after several verbal "hallway" complaints, and a resignation was tendered. I was pulled aside by the president, and excuses offered. His license had been pulled several months earlier, and he was convicted with these news appearing in the local paper!
