None of this is new. Loud people with an agenda and a bull horn will make hollow promises and paint the future selfishly beautiful in order to fulfill their wants. Farakhan intentionally misleads people, however not unlike Islam it's self. The basis of all good faiths should be one of tolerance and forgivness. It should also have a leader, or sometimes a prophet who is able to do things that the average human is unable to do--like eternal forgivness, etc.

To base a religion on intolerance is simply satanism. The basis of Satanism is to please one's self. If the religion you practice condones the basic human desires of hate, intolerance and revenge then what's the point of following that religion's pracices? I can hate on my own. I can be intolerant on my own. I don't need leaders of religions telling me it's okay to be that way when I know in my heart that it isn't. The Golden rule is a universal truth...

Ghandi stated it best: "I love your Christ but I dislike your Christians..." Being tolerant of others isn't impossible and it is a worthy endeavour. Claiming a religion that gives you hard-to-reach goals, like forgivness and peace and tolerance, and that religion having historical leaders who practiced what they preached is worth one's time and effort. Not hate, and not intolerance.
