Who Will Defend Israel's RightsReader comment on item: Israeli Jets vs. Iranian Nukes Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jun 14, 2007 at 15:31 Much has been said and written that would support this position, and from this reader's point of view, much of what is going on around Israel provides several proofs necessary. But as much as one might try to separate this from the religious implications, those with religious perspectives (no matter which of the top three) to what is going on, can definitely make the case for the cause of what is about to happen. Gaza was forsaken and Lebanon has been made the stepping-stone from which Israel might be shaken from her place, but there is the underlying strength that has been Israel's when she found herself at the bottom of the heap. It was there in 1948. Then again, she stunned the world in 1967. From 1973 to this date, she finds herself struggling because she has forsaken the basis of that strength, but the time is almost here where that is going to change. The process of isolating and diminishing Israel has come to the end of a cycle, and the threats to her safety have mounted to, well you know, heaven. Iran ahs made her threats over and over, from this leader to that. Other nations that have expressed varying opinions of what Israel should do to solve the situation, from bending over backwards to outright get out of town, and they have further expressed the limitations of their patience. Everybody's got an opinion, from Moscow, to Teheran, to Damascus to you name it. In America, while the foremost politicians are declaring some form of support over the tiny nation, the bureaucrats are running on a different game plan. Hence the Road Map to piecing Israel in some inexcusable attempt to placate a world with a majority intent on Israel's demise. So, to those who look at Israel's options to protect herself, either by pre-emptive action, or if she is forced into reacting to the next ploy of provocation (by the way, the European Union is considering deploying to the Gaza powder keg much in the same way the U.N. is in Lebanon, as many already know), as this reader has indicated before, it only a matter of time. When that time comes, only her Sovereign, the Eternal will be her defense.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
