I hear you. Give a hundred different scientists a question and you'll get a hundred different answers. It just seemed a little strange to me as Scotland has such a high percentage of redheads compared to everywhere else - 12% versus an average of 2% elsewhere. The gene migration could just as easily be the other way round though as those Vikings weren't exactly reknowned for their chastity when out raiding our island!

I have a lot of time for Danes so I hope that they can draw on some of that Norse spirit in these dangerous times. The problem in general with Europe is that it is so liberal and so civilised that it is in danger of losing it's spine. I'm pleased that the Danes managed to wake some of us up. My only fear is that it may be 'too little, too late'. Let's hope not.
