I have to say I agree with every word of this article. The biggest problem is not the English but the Islamic view on integration. Whilst I know better than to generalise, there are a large proportion of Islam followers who don't want to integrate.

If everyone is law abiding and has a common interest in peace and well being, which the residents of Sheffield seem to have, then why not integrate? The culture is the reason, and I for one have no problems with other cultures, only the ones who don't accept my English culture.

The government and local councils have a lot to answer for. At which point did they make an active effort to integrate followers of Islam to the Sheffield and English way of life? They didn't they just housed them hear. Where were the meetings and leaflets explaining the best things about both cultures and how we can benefit each other? As a child growing up in Sheffield I saw the city change dramatically, but I can't ever remember being educated about Muslims, Sikhs and Jews.
