I stumbled on this post and am amazed at what I am reading. I am from a "Western" country and live close to the border where we constantly have "border people" sneaking in, not coming by legal channels but by sneaking in. After they get here claiming they want a better life for their families, they get legal aid, their children are entitled to school where someone must speak their language so they never learn that of the country they adopted, even though they are here illegally, while THIS countries citizens are turned down. They quite literally throw their trash in the street and proceed to "trash" our country and do pretty much what ever they want. If they get caught doing something illegal they are simply shipped back accross the boarder with no punishment at all.

However, there are also people who come from that same country, who enter through the legal channels, appriciate the country they have adopted and do their best to fit into the culture they chose. These are not the majority and I have to ask the question that has been asked and asked and asked here....

Why do you bother to come if you are just going to trash our country the way you trashed yours?

I can't say I am against immigration, but I do think there should be requirements in all countries for all immigrants. If you're going to leave your "home" country then aren't you willingly putting yourself up for adoption in another? Does that not therefore dictate that you are willing to leave your country behind and obey the customs and laws of the new one YOU chose?

Guess its everywhere and has nothing to do with race or religion. I cant recall the name of the person who said it but I can't help but agree that is is where and how you were raised and what you were raised to believe. You can accept the "brainwashing" that every person is most likely subjected to, OR you can take a look around notice the world is different at the same time it is the same, and choose your own path to a new morality and reality.

Interesting reading.
