Hello again Mark,

Thank you for your objective and kind comments about the Muslims you know, as you see we're not all bloodthirsty fundys.

Alms giving and helping the less fortunate is talked about many many times in the Koran, in fact it is the duty of every Muslim to help those who are less fortunate.

As I said I am not very familiar with the details of what is going on in Sudan so I will not comment on it at present.

But you say:

"The only way it seems the US could help out is to declare war on Sudan.."

and that

"There are numerous oil wells and rich oil fields in the south of Sudan complete with pipeline plans to the Red Sea, the rights to which make up the balance of issues in the negotiations for a settlement to the conflict there."

If that is the case, then I wouldn't be surprised if the US declared war on Sudan.

I wish you the best and hope perhaps one day you learn more about true Islam to see it's not so bad afterall.
