Things are bad but if they are showing signs of improvement then one can live on. With SU it was a case of small-increment improvement and this rate would have been better if the capitalists had not made the decision to isolate, slander and threaten it. Ronald Reagan explicitly said that he wants to bankrupt the SU through an arms race. The capitalists were hell bent not to give the SU a chance to prove the worth of its ideology. One does not have to be communist or a sympathiser to say this.

A democratically progressed SU would have been great help against islam. And now US has to fight this war againt islamic terror and fascism single-handedly. Reminds me of the story of a woman who left her small child at home with their pet mongoose. A snake came but the mongoose killed the snake and went out to greet the woman with a blood-soaked moth. The woman in a fit of anger killed the mongoose fearing it had killed her child and eaten it. And then noticed the killed snake lying near her chuckling babe.

If only USA would not be so rabidly dollar-geedy. Now islam is proving to be a far worse case than Stalin or Hitler. Islam will not give peace unless it has exterminated the non-muslims and even after that it cannot give peace because of its internal contradictions and inherent fascism and its inability to solve problems honestly and peacefully.

US even built up China out of its hatred for the SU (enemy's enemy is my friend - this same perversity). And now China is proving to be a fascist (and ethno-fascist) state too that is endangering the USA. May be USA deserves this kick in the face after all the evils that US foreign policy spawned over 60 years.
