New Testament Speaks to the Authentication of the Old Testament

in response to reader comment: The New Testament speaks against the "Trinity" doctrine

Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Sep 23, 2014 at 15:40

Ah, the Trinitarian thing; that which I have long since dispensed with trying to witness to those who have no such view or are apparently on a different path to its understanding. Long ago, I found the key to convincing evidence and witness that though the Eternal Sovereign is, as it is declared in the Debarim 6:4, but when I read Genesis 22:15 and 16, there is more than what meets the mortal eye.

No mortal has yet satisfactorily explained for my benefit how Elohim is plural, nor described who met Abraham on the way to rescue Lot.

I do not lean to any one translation; all of the 'authorised' versions seem to have some supra-sacramental take on whether there is a Holy One of Israel, or Who is the Redeemer; or Who is the Son of David or the Spirit over the waters.

Scholars have been trying to read into that for centuries and they have yet to convince one way or the other which version is true. I resort to listening to the Spirit; if it matches the Scripture, then it validates by obedience to what He is saying. That eliminates the mysteries and any esoteric thought I have ever considered on Who He Claims He is…..

Thus the question will never be mortally answered…..
