Reader comment on item: Something Rotten in Denmark?
in response to reader comment: I ask the great American free women

JustMe, you said America is only 230 years old, thats why no women could reach the topmost level of your government?!!!!

You see, India and Pakistan are only 59 years old- they had women prime ministers!
Bangladesh is only 35 years old and almost half of its time it has been ruled by women prime ministers!

Someone (Mandy perhaps) sent a long list trying to prove that women in Pakistan, India, Turkey, Bangladesh and Indonesia are in pathetic situations, sniff sniff...!! Ok, these women are in bad positions but so are you- when we know that 1 in 6 american women either has been raped or attempted to be raped.

But you have not answered my original question- a very simple question. The 'oppressed' women had been elected president or prime minister in those Muslims countries, but no free American woman has been elected head of state in the last almost two and a half centuries.

Why? is it because your country is male-dominated?
is it because there is no woman who is worthy of being a president?
or is it because your people are not ready to vote a woman?

search for the answer and tell me. But as long as you can't answer my question, I would request you not to cry for Muslim women!!!!
