Reader comment on item: Something Rotten in Denmark?
in response to reader comment: COWARDS

Submitted by A Dane (Denmark), Feb 7, 2006 at 12:52

If u say cowards, i would have to call u a fool, Denmark have not apologized. Denmark should not because these drawings were not made by Denmark and do not speak for my country or the people. they were made by a newspaper in Denmark that did apologize and they should, i´m not religious if i was a beliving muslim i would probaly feel offended too.

Here in Denmark muslims protested too and were joined by Danish christians as well to show support and understanding to our Danish muslims. the newspaper apologized to the muslims they accepted. what i've been trying to explain to people i been speaking to on the net in Denmark our goverment can´t prevent things like this to be printed, the people that feel offended have to bring it tp the court and then the court decides if laws have been broken.

I have muslim friends and will never bocome racist but some might have problems when they see muslims yelling for bombing of Denmark and killing of Danes. some muslims try and tell me that these don´t speak for Islam. it gets harder each day to believe this as u don´t see muslims protest when someone in the middle east cuts the throat of someone while yelling "ALLAH IS GREAT" why don´t muslims make it clear that this isn´t the muslim way.

And yet while writing this i see Islamic religious leaders trying to stop the violence. protestesting is ok, violence or yelling for violence is not, good to see that some Muslim leaders feels the same.

Oh btw you know those drawings that the Danish muslims brought to the Middle East that started all this, some of them have never been published in Denmark
