Proof that it's only a symptom of much deeper delusion

Reader comment on item: Muhammad Ali v. George W. Bush

"Under intense American pressure, Israel recently signed with the Palestinian Authority a new deal that effectively ensures a steady flow of weapons and terrorists into Gaza..."

"Last week, the local press announced that after weeks of inconclusive negotiations an agreement was reached ... regulating the border crossings in and out of Gaza. At the same time, it ... deprived Israel of means of preventing the passage of terrorists and arms into Gaza. U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice ... brutally forced Israel to accept the terms of this agreement. ... the staff at the hotel ... heard Condoleezza Rice screaming at Israel's Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz upon whom she vented her anger on a previous visit. The media have devoted attention to two main facts: a confrontation took place and Israel's sovereignty and its ability to defend itself have been compromised."

"If the Palestinians misbehave, one Israeli comforted himself in Rice's presence, we'll shut down the Rafah crossing. Rice, in turn, directed a chilly glare at him. Someone here forgot this is a border Israel no longer has any connection to, she said."

Perhaps Ali-Clay does deserve a medal for telling the emperor he has no clues.

O.k., I've seen enough of this 'royal nonesuch.'
