A Knockout--Bravo Zulu

Reader comment on item: Muhammad Ali v. George W. Bush

Submitted by Jeremy Taylor, Rear Admiral, USN (Ret) (United States), Nov 30, 2005 at 11:49

Mr.Pipes: Well done on your forthright and gutty knockout blow to Cassius Clay and his Presidential Medal of Freedom. It was about time somebody with guts spoke for all of us who have been steamrolled into silence as casualties of political correctness.

Ali was Clay when I was in Vietnam in 1967 and he led a revolt against the draft that contributed mightily to the collapse of support for our nation's foreign policy. I will always consider him in the same class as Jane Fonda and John Kerry as a traitor to our country for aiding and abetting our enemies. The White House clown who recommended this award should be fired and our careless President should hang his head in shame. Again, well done...or as we say in the Navy..."Bravo Zulu"...
