United States Electoral College & President Donald Trump ChallengeReader comment on item: Fellow Conservatives, Please Reject Conspiracy Theories Submitted by Ludvikus (United States), Jan 28, 2022 at 18:10 Too Many American Citizens are unaware of the Constitutional, Legislative, Statutory, and Political History of the United States Electoral College. This is an important Constitutional institution which our Founding Fathers established in the very beginning of our Republican Democracy. There is no way we can judge the Political conduct of President Donald Trump in his actions as Candidate in his re-election Campaign. He was, it appears, merely changing the Certification process over which the President Pro Tempore of the U.S. Senate, before Congress (both the Senate and the House jointly appearing). Once the vote was Certified, "Lame-Duck" President Trump conceded that Biden would be President, and he (Trump) immediately proceeded to an orderly transition. The fact that President Trump was the first one to do such a challenge, in no way should be used against him.
