From Israel about Trump

Yes I am Israeli and live in Tel Aviv. Without doing a professionally sound opinion polling, I would venture my personal estimate that roughly the same percentage of Israelis think that Trump is a dangerous pshycopath as the corresponding percentage of Americans.

I guess that even Bibi Netanyahu (a much more intelligent person than Trump) may be leaning towards this opinion after in his very recent interview with an Israeli journalist Trump said "F. him!!" while referring to Bibi, only because the latter congratulated Biden on winning the election. As if it is possible at all for an Israeli PM NOT to congratulate the US President elect.

For the record, I consider my political opinions to be Center Right (which is why I am a follower of Dr. Pipes' blog).

Trump has apparently misled you and other Trump aficionados to believe that he enjoys a rock star popularity in Israel. Nothing can be further from the truth.

It is true that he (for his own reasons) did some very good things for Israel, and most of the Israelis are grateful for those, whatever the political game behind this. However, we also see the disastrous consequences of Trump's actions for America (a country we Israelis regard as a big sister of Israel, a country of shared values, practically family) and the destruction of traditionally bipartisan support of Israel in America since Bibi sided with Trump and jointly with him ruined the non-partisan position of Israel in the US (and for this Israel is paying the price now that Democrats are in power), and are disgusted by this and by Trump's mores and personality - just like myself.,
