Populist President Donald Trump in the Age of Reality TV and Social Media

Dear Daniel Pipes,

Unfortunately, as you are aware Current Events isn't History. That because Tunnel Vision predominates. It gets very difficult to asses the present for most scholars. That said are strongly disagree with your views here which go outside your field, the Middle East.

You have chosen to use the narrow and convenient expression "Conspiracy Theory." But it would be more accurate to state something like the Age of "Irrationality." Is "Black Lives Matter" a Conspiracy with a Theory? If not why nor?

We live in the Age of "Reality TV" of which Trump was a (Grand) Master ("The Apprentice"), as well as the Age of Social Media, whereby traditional Newspapers and TV are going bankrupt, resulting in any Individual now receiving their "15-minuites of fame" (Andy Warhol). Just one consequence of this is the lack of faith in Science and therefor disbelieve in Vaccination. It is an irony for an Individualist such as yourself to see what happens when every individual is empowered to spread his or her ideas in the United States of America in this Irrational Age. The Communist Chinese in China, many of them must be saying, if this is democracy, we don't want it. You also assert that you believe in Religious Freedom. But you are faced with the irony of have to deny Muslims their religious freedom by your ("conspiratorial") label of Islamist; as a (Jewish) Secularist yourself you are not in a position to judge what is or is not Islam, since you are not a Muslim. Hope you appreciate the irony. Rather, you should ask openly, (as Geert Wilders has in Holland): "Do we want more Muslims in the USA?"

Now regarding the allegedly STOLEN ELECTION. You are not a "great" populist politician. In fact the election was STOLEN. But it was a Four-Year Conspiracy led by Nancy Pelosi. The Democratic Machine out-Foxed Trump and installed Obama's Lapdog, Joe Biden. Biden kept quite during the assault on him and his corrupt son. You forget that silly attack regarding the Ukrainian phone conversation. You overlook the 2 ridiculous impeachments of Trump during his presidency. You confuse a minor Riot with an insurrection. Trump now is smartly keeping mostly silent, or the media is doing that (a conspiracy?).

You overlook the fact of what the police must do to prevent a Riot. The Democrats were in control of the Capitol, and it was all these Democrats who failed to protect the Capitol when a huge march commenced, and the barricades were overwhelmed. You also overlook all the Black Lives Matter demonstrations which resulted in Riots and De-fund the Police calls. The January 6 event was the partial result of the Democrats and their Biden base lack of support for the Police. And recall the death of an African American by a white cop who held his knee for 9.5 minutes ...? and how that played out on Social Media, and against Trup who supported the Police?

You choose to interpret the STOLEN ELECTION as what happened on an about January 6, the day of the Riot which the Democratic House is still investigation. If "Conspiracy Theory" is to have any meaning, it should be attributed to the hole time in which Trump was President, and Pelosi Democratic "Gang" was engaged from Day 1 to Demonize Trump and succeeded in Impeaching him Twice.

When observing or judging Trump, an intellectual such as yourself, should not listen to what comes out of his mouth, because you cannot understand it, and his words are not meant for your ears. They are meant for those who elected him; that's what makes him a Populist, and a Reality TV Superstar before his election.

Trump has accomplished the Abram Accords, and this alone makes him one of our greatest Presidents. Four Arab countries made peace with Israel: UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan.

I hope President Trump runs again; I will vote for him. Smartly, or conspiratorially, we hear very little from him now. The voting public has a short memory, about 2 years I imagine. When the Republicans regain the House, I expect the minor Rio of January 6 will be put to rest, the Capitol will be better protected by the Capitol Police, and Donald Trump will once again seek the Office of the President.

You believe in Freedom of Speech. But you claim that Trump is responsible for the January 6 Riot, or whatever he said previously. But Trump always supported the Police and was against Riots of any kind. The January 6 event involved only 4 hours of his time. It took only 4 hours to see the Democratic anti-Police failure to protect the Capitol, which was not Trump's job, by the way. And as you known, he did ask everyone to go home.

You never liked Trump, and you still don't. Maybe because he was also a friend of Kissinger? But it's due primarily with what he says. What he did, you eventually admitted you liked, and were even surprised.

Once again, in the broadest sense of the expression, President Trump's Re-election, was STOLEN the course of Four Years, not the One Day of January 6; and that was a "Conspiracy," in the common use of that term, by the Democratic, under the helm of Nancy Pelosi and her Second Lieutenant, Chuck Schumer.

PS: President Trump recently publicly announce that he was fully vaccinated. He also eventually announced that Biden was going to be President. Trump is not a Politician. He's a Master Salesman. And, by the way, he's a Philo-Semite, a wonderful Husband, Father, and Grandfather of Jewish Children by his favorite Daughter. And yet they call him a Racist and eve an Anti-Semite.

So, Dr. Daniel Pipes, don't you agree that Trump's re-election was "STOLEN" over the course of 4 years? And don't you further agree that the 4-hour Riot at the Capital was a minor event due to the Democrats-in-charge failure to protect the Capitol with adequate Policing during the obvious long march on it by thousands of people, and that Trump was not responsible for the failure of the Democrats?
