Philosopher king from the East

Dear Dr Pipes, the reader Ludvikus cites some examples of philosopher kings from the West. I submit an example from the East: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janaka.

But, surely, until we can have such rulers, democracy is the worst kind of governance barring all others. Thanks for saying it, Winston Churchill.
