Dear Dr Pipes,

I will quote Dave here from his above message. Dave described the republican dilemma with absolute accuracy: "... If these issues can be finessed by the Dems by 2024, the Republicans nominate Trump, and the Dems pick someone more coherent, I'd place my bets on the Dems to win. Trump is simply too eccentric, he'll get a horrible press, and he alone could cause another Republican loss in 2024 if the race is close. Time will tell."

Republican party should work hard to cultivate a high quality nominee for 2024 who adopts Trumpesque policies but shows a significantly higher level of maturity. In parallel they should try hard to properly manage Trump so he can bless this candidate and does not create additional problems for her/him. Biden and Harris are blessings in disguise for 2024. I hope that the Republicans do not waste them away.
