Dear Mr. Robert

Reader comment on item: Poll: Israel Victory Gains Strength
in response to reader comment: I Love American Exceptionalism

Submitted by Debanjan Banerjee (India), Oct 20, 2018 at 02:53

Greetings Mr. Roberts.

1. I want to state here that when you proudly mention that the US is a multi-cultural melting pot you should also accept that this melting pot was created over the blood, bones and flesh of the slave trade and genocide of Native Americans. So the US was created based upon institutionalized racism.

I want to also remind you about the "Chinese exclusion act" which was another example of institutionalized racism on behalf of the US.

You talk about China forcefully taking over Taiwan whereas the fact remains that the US forcefully took over California and Texas from Mexico after committing genocides against the native Americans in these countries. You talk about China's nuclear power but I feel you should before that condemn US own usage of nuclear weapons against the Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

You mention this "In our Exceptional country Racism is illegal everywhere under our great first (Exceptional) successful Written Constitution (since 1789)". This is completely inaccurate as the US "Chinese exclusion act" clearly is an example of institutionalized racism. The US constitution did support slavery and the genocide of Native Americans. In fact all the problems of the world starts from that controversial document called the US constitution (written by slave owners Jefferson and Washington) that institutionalizes American exceptionalism which I find to be World's most gruesome and racism-based theocratic ideology.

I will be eagerly awaiting your answers on my replies.

Thanks and regards with best wishes
Debanjan
