Reader comment on item: Poll: Israel Victory Gains Strength

Submitted by Hardy Klein (United States), Jul 3, 2018 at 16:27

Israel's victory is a fact as far as military confrontations go. Israel's victory in the 6 day war has brought the West Bank and Gaza under Israeli control but in spite of it Israel is behaving like the looser. It pampers the PA, it almost behaves as if it lost the war. I have never heard that the winner negotiates peace terms with the loser of a conflagration. Usually (in most cases in history) the winner imposes the terms of peace! What is different in this case? It almost sound that a new war is needed to drive the reality into the minds of the Palestinians (and many Israelis) that they are the losers?!
