Drop Racism As Well, But Call Out HatredReader comment on item: I Give Up: There Is No Terrorism, There Are No Terrorists Submitted by Dave (United States), Mar 23, 2016 at 22:08 Every act of wanton violence which deliberately targets innocents should be considered a hate crime, because hatred motivates all such acts. Defining such deeds with more abstract terms, such as "terrorism", carries the risk of excusing them by possibly implying that they may be manifestations of a higher cause, such as a revolution for the sake of social justice, the result of frustration over oppression, or as a reaction to racism. In the same vein, there has been a tendency to categorize the fearful and hateful reactions of victim populations, of many Western non-Muslims, as racist. But that's not racism, that's a normal, psychological reaction to violent hatred directed against them. It's time to end the verbal double standard that a foolish world has constructed, which obfuscates the differences between victim and perpetrator.
