Reader comment on item: I Give Up: There Is No Terrorism, There Are No Terrorists

As my friend Uncle Vladdie says, the problem is threats and extortion. More specifically: attacks. The conventions hold attacks on civilians to be war crimes. Muslims do not primarily attack armies, they attack settlements, villages and cities. They kill the men, rape the women and enslave the children. Would Islam meet with our approval if it only attacked military bases?

Razia, raids, ghazwat, expedition, conquest & attack: all synonyms for ISLAM. Its what Islam is; what Muslims do as per Surah At-Taubah 9.111. Believers fight in Allah's cause (world domination) killing others and being killed. No believers: no problem. Therein is a clue for the clueless.

Terror is a condition: intense fear entailing dread; a sensation of being helpless in the face of impending doom. The Qur'an & hadith describe the terror of the last day, when children will turn hoary headed, nursing mothers abandon their infants, pregnant women drop their loads, hands tremble, knees quake, necks crane and eyes turn upward.

The Quranic concept of casting terror is to so terrify intended victims that they will be unable or unwilling to mount an effective defense. Moe hoped that by terrorizing his victims, they would surrender without a fight so that he could keep all the loot for himself.

Terrorism is an intrinsic sacrament of Islam, an inseverable part of its "original religion" which is Jihad as per Reliance Of The Traveller o9.0: "war against non-Muslims"..

So lets quit quibbling over the definition of terrorism and eliminate its root cause: ISLAM.
