Dr. Pipes is right...as usual.Reader comment on item: I Give Up: There Is No Terrorism, There Are No Terrorists Submitted by Larry Stirlilng (United States), Jun 3, 2015 at 11:27 Dr.Pipes is correct. Using the word terrorism gratuitously inputs value motives to the actors that perpetrated the mayhem causing an unnecessary delay in our response to murderous violence. By saving time on useless moral inputations, we can deal with the perpetrators as we should by classifying and demonizing them as the amoral nihilists they are. Plus, we have used that family of words so many times that we have become desensitized to its horrific implications. Murders and mayhem, Islamic inspired or not, are antithetical to valuable social norms and justice and should be responded to instantaneously without pause to mull of the perpetrators' motives. Remember, in the war between civilized Athens (the west) and militarized Sparta (Islam), the Spartans won thereby extinguishing the light of civillzation for eons. Larry Stirling San Diego .
