Miri, Of course everyone has a right to dress as they want. But covering faces (niqab, burqa) conceal identities in public which becomes a threat to public safety (not to mention alienating them since they cannot interact with others). Even banks have policies for safety to remove items that obscure the face.

As to the rest of the body, the discussion here is not about tradition or modesty but rather the abayas that are so bulky as to disguise the potential of hiding bombs or suicide vests that are, again, a threat to public safety. It has always and only been about safety and security and members of a society should participate and cooperate with these policies.
