MIRI: Read what Mr. Pipes wrote. He's addressing the issue of covering one's face. As to the rest of your comment, there is no religious prescription in the qur'an to hide one's neck, face or hair. Also, there are more and more of these nikabs in our environment and we are getting used to seeing them. We will reach the point when we will not truly notice them anymore.
