NRO - Web Briefing today - a candy for Aussis:

From The Herald Sun Down Under:

A MUSLIM man is believed to be the first in Australia to have been granted a judge-only trial on the ground a jury may have been biased because of his religious beliefs.

The decision can be revealed after Ismail Belghar, 36, yesterday pleaded guilty to detaining and assaulting his sister-in-law after she "dared" to take his wife of 11 years to the beach without his permission.

The prosecution was not happy with the judge supporting Mr Belghar's view that he could not get a fair trial from 12 Aussie citizens:

The Crown appealed, arguing if Judge Solomon was correct every Muslim would be entitled to a judge-only trial.

Or at least an infidel-free jury.

Nothing in the European Press about the rising Salafist unrest in Germany. Hundreds of armed Salafists barred from entering downtown Cologne. There is a powderkeg developing in Germany, as Salafists organize and threaten with violence, after they started the whole escalation by handing out free Qurans on German public spaces, upon which demonstrations against it materialized.

A German judge approved public display of Mohammed Cartoons (Free Speech) yesterday for a demo against those fanatics.

One does not need to be a nuclear scientist to forecast further clashes and violence, eventhough the media, the government and the society itself seems to make a desperate effort to keep the entire development under wraps, bordering an outright cover up. The Salafists continue their effort to distribute Qurans freely and the reaction by locals is nothing but a foregone conclusion. I wonder, what it will take until the German Media finally picks up on this developing story and its underlying problem of a rapidly changing, increasingly activist and fanatical Salafist (muslim) minority. I am pretty sure that some if not many of these Qurans end up being publicly burned by outraged locals, upon which we will without a shadow of doubt see Islamist violence in response.

Once people get seriously hurt, maybe then the media will pick the story up? I look forward to those wonderful kumbayah discussion rounds on TV, where Grass and Friends will assure us that all is fine with the nation and muslims are good and are part of societal Germany. Of course they will condemn all those right wing extremists who inflame those poor Salafists and curb their Freedom Of Speech and Religion. I am also pretty sure that they will condemn, rather than defend any burning of Qurans as Freedom of Speech and Expression, as hate crime, racism and undue provocation of a peaceful people.

I'll watch and keep y'all posted.
