One might say that all Jihadists are insane just because they believe that to kill people is an act sanctified by God. Yes, I am aware that there were murders for religion in Christianity and that the Old testament mentions killing and punishing with death, but the crusades ended centuries ago and the Old testament is not taken literally, and we do not hear daily reports of Christian, Jewish or Buddhist suicide attacks against innocent civilians.
