Wrong logic

Reader comment on item: Islamic Economics: What Does It Mean?

Submitted by Rajeev (United States), Oct 13, 2010 at 00:56

Dear Dr Pipes:

It is easy to influence the gullible --and some of us can counted to be gullible -- by false logic. Mohammad CPA has used exactly the same method. Any one who reads Mohammad's message carefully will know that his logic does not stand to reason. Mohammad says that Bill Gates says that the current capitalism system is not perfect and it should be replaced by creative capitalism. Even if this attribution to Bill Gates is correct, it does not describe how Bill gates defines creative capitalism. But after quoting Bill gates, Mohammad quickly starts to describe his version of Islam as if to imply that his version somehow describes what Mr Gates calls creative capitalism. Subtle lie but lie nevertheless.

Reader beware of this and such efforts.
