My reply to DNMReader comment on item: When Israel Stood Up to Washington [in 1981] Submitted by Debanjan Banerjee (India), Apr 20, 2010 at 03:46 Dear DNM, "The term Omar al-farooq means Omar the redeamer aka the Christ! And this little story never happened." My Answer : Omar al-farooq does not mean "Omar the redeamer" , Omar al-farooq means omar who can distinguish between good and evil. "Al-farooq" was a title given to Omar al-khattab the second Caliph of Islam , the conqueror of Persian and Syrian empires for Islam. You need to study some history books of those eras to find out the details. Have you herad something called "Omar's pact" ? Calpih Omar is as historical as someone like Benjamin Franklin , Thomas Jefferson or George Washington. Bye the bye what is your evidence that there existed characters such as Benjamin Franklin , Thomas Jefferson or George Washington ? Anyway I do not expect too much of knowledge from an ... american like you. Another point , I was addressing this post to Esther . Who are you to tell me all these ? Only Esther can refute my points.
