When Israel stood up to WA--when Israel was governed by heroic men, not wobbly grovelers.Reader comment on item: When Israel Stood Up to Washington [in 1981] Submitted by SC4Z (Secular Christians for Zion) (United States), Apr 6, 2010 at 15:53 What happened in Israel to change it from the bold and brave days of yore is similar to what is happening throughout the US in myriad self-aggrandizing city councils, many the same size as tiny Israel. Spoiled by their perks, city council members and their unelected "czars" and appointees and excessively compensated public employees serve their own personal interests first and use the taxing powers to enrich themselves by repeatedly shearing the US "sheeple." How is Israel's comfortably padded leadership different? And how low will Israel's leadership bow to Israel's antagonists and its 'pretend-friends' in order to preserve their comfortable sinecures? Israel should understand that the US is now ruled by arrogant Islamic sensibilities and serviced by the sort of American Jew (the New York Times also comes to mind) who craves the perks that come from squatting at the foot of the caliphate throne. The Muslim-in-chief doubtless shares the Islamic credo: "Given a choice between a weak horse and a strong horse, people will always choose the strong horse." Hence, Israel will be flogged as a weak horse unless and until it reverts to year's past when it proudly exhibited the soul of the strong horse. Israel must abandon its weirdly fantastical notion that the US under its current administration will advocate for Israel. Therefore, if Israel fails to advocate its own interests it must swiftly grasp that no one else, no other state, has a duty to so do. Advocate, Israel! Speak up for your rights! Make demands! Your demands are legitimate. The Ai-Ai demands are an indecent ploy. Please understand that the US began to lose its way during the Carter Administration--don't let this truly unfortunate situation which is leading the US to ruin send Israel flying over the cliff.
