Standing up to WashingtonReader comment on item: When Israel Stood Up to Washington [in 1981] Submitted by Carmen Waggoner, Ph.D. (United States), Apr 6, 2010 at 19:44 I completely agree with you about "Standing Up To Washington". Standing up is the attitude always taken by Palestinians and any other ennemies of Israel; it continues to work work for them. It is also also the attitude Obama takes, regardless who he is adressing; whether he speaks to the American people, his cabinet members, or foreign dignitaries, Obama speaks down as if he were a religious leader speaking from his podium, similar to the Christian leader who was his previous spiritual leader : he is always on "the standing up mode", often with the intonation used by the preachers in black churches. A stange mixture of Arab lies as needed and christian preachers' rightfullness and intonation, whith a good dose of pseudo Jack Kennedy type of oratory when he adresses the nation. The only way to stop Obama, the Palestinians and the rest of the Muslem world is to do exactly what PM Begin did; not only did it work, it also earned him self respect and the respect from others. The majority of Americans are " fed up" with Obama. He is very close to becoming a dictator, and the American people will have to go beyond a "tea Party" in order to be heard and respected. As far aas foreign dignitaries are concerned, the only ones he bows down to are.....Arab leaders and Palestinians.
