Reply to Barbara: That is not true, however, Arab or Muslim name does not matter

in response to reader comment: The names chosen for Obama's children

Hi Barbara,

We already know that Obama is not an Arab and not a Muslim. Mrs. Paolucci, you have crossed the line by saying that Obama named his children Muslim names. That is not true. Also, Obama was baptised as a protestant not catholic. Yes, check your facts and don't be like the people at the McCain rally who said Obama was an Arab. Please check your facts before saying what you hear or think. Secondly it does not matter if he is an Arab of not. That is racist.

I also want to comment that there are Arab American Catholics who have Arabic names as well as Arab Catholics in the middle east like Lebanon and Syria also Iraq. Please stop the hate. Hate leads to racism and most Arab Americans were discriminated against back in the day because of their darker complexions and Arab names. Some changed their names to English names because of that hate. Please stop the hate.

thanks
