Israel striking Iran is pointlessReader comment on item: Israeli Jets vs. Iranian Nukes Submitted by freeman (United States), Jun 17, 2007 at 12:14 Iran will consider it as if the US did it, because the US supports Israel and Israel will be using American made weaponry. Either the US should publicly distance itself from Israel in Muslim eyes, which it doesn't have enough time to do, persuade Israel not to attack Iran, or attack Iran itself with its superior navy and airforce. One more thing, unless Israel or the US are certain that the attack will set back the nuclear program by years or install a moderate regime, it should not be done, and they should live with a nuclear Iran. The results of a failed attack will be catastrophic. As catastrophic as the fact that Iran will be nuclear.
