Iranian defence?

Reader comment on item: Israeli Jets vs. Iranian Nukes

Nowhere is any mention made of the Iran defence system. Probably the reason is because not enough is known abut it. What do they have and how is t organised? There as rumour some time back that the IAF was practising mock attacks on Russian AA missile systems purchased by Greece. But it seems the Iranians may have more sophisticated systems now than those sold to Greece. Such systems would likely make an Israeli attempt far too risky and unproductive. Lack of firm Western intel would be key here.

I suspect Obama has made this deal with Iran because partly his miitary has told him that the likelihood of any successful military/air action against Iran is now improbable and highly risky at best.

The only way to achieve regime change in Tehran is through a very long maybe generational process of making the Shia ME Sunni and gradually reducing Iranian power through Sunni numbers and resources. I'm sure the Saudi would look forward to shutting down Shia power for good. With minimum risk to themselves...
