Lying by the book

Reader comment on item: Is Tariq Ramadan Lying [about Magdi Allam]?

Submitted by Jacques Bakke (United States), Mar 5, 2007 at 19:14

It is difficult to respond to blind hatred and to primative actions of individuals without getting down to their level. So, I would simply inform or remind your readers of Surah 3:28, the Priciple of Al-Takeyya where in the Qur'an gives the likes of Tarik Ramadan license to lie. In this instance he may have taken too much license with this Civil Law, I don't know. But these Musim civil rules do not apply in this country, quite yet. With the same principle I wouldn't put much value on an apology either.
