Tariq Ramadan cannot be trustedReader comment on item: Is Tariq Ramadan Lying [about Magdi Allam]? Submitted by Faqi (United States), Mar 5, 2007 at 22:52 Tariq Rqamadan cannot be trusted at all. One of the most frequent charges against Ramadan by many who know him is that he says different things to different audiences; one thing to radical Islamists and young Muslims and another to the western media and academia. Caroline Fourest the French writer who is a graduate of sociology and political science, journalist, editor of the magazine "Prochoix," is the author of Frère Tariq (Brother Tariq), a critical look at the works of the so called Islamic intellectual Tariq Ramadan. Fourest analysed most of Tariq Ramadan's books, his interviews, and his recordings, and concluded that "Ramadan is a war leader," and the "political heir of his grandfather," Hassan al-Banna (who started the virulent Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt), stating that his discourse is, "often just a repetition of the discourse that Banna had at the beginning of the 20th century in Egypt," and that he, "presents his grand father Al-Banna as a model to be followed."
