Glenn, an actual close analysis of Christian Zionism can only show that you are mistaken as to our beliefs and motives. As a Christian Zionist, I do love the Jewish faith, the Jewish culture and the Jewish nation. Every devout Christian shares this love. My beliefs are nothing without the unfolding success of your beliefs.

Christian Zionists hail Israel as the Promised Land. It is clearly a land promised to all Jews by G-d. Our belief puts us second to Jews. Our only hope is that we (as Gentiles) might be spiritually grafted into in this same promise from G-d. Although our belief asks us to go into the entire world and proclaim our faith, it does not request us to seek the demise of the things we hold (and are instructed to hold), so dear to our hearts. History not only shows years upon years of solidarity with the Israel (faith, culture and the every-day life of the Jewish nation), but it also shows that Christian Zionists were instrumental in affording Israel the opportunity to (once again) reestablish itself as a nation. Unfortunately, this seems to be an issue of pride with some Israelites (or at least one of misunderstanding).

I know that Jews do not believe that the Messiah has come, and I wish that you believed as I do. However, all Christian Zionists truly love the Jewish nation of Israel and all the people of this great land. It is true that we believe in an unfolding of Christian revelation, but Jews believe in an unfolding faith, as well. We simply differ in our beliefs. Christian Zionists supporting and standing in solidarity with Israel should not make us enemies, but closest and most dear friends.
