In recent years and particularly since the beginning of the current 'Intifada' UK Christian Zionists have been much more vocal in making their voice heard in what has become a very pro-Islamic/Arabic environment. There are over a dozen national para-church organisations that support the State of Israel, even to the extent of working with the Israeli Government in bringing 'home' Jewish people still living in the former Soviet Union. Some of these UK para-church organisations are also invited to participate in the annual 'birthday' celebration for Israel. In last year's pro-Israel rally in Trafalgar Square the Jewish community organisers publically acknowledged the presence of a significant number of Christians amongst the 50,000 crowd. In the major annual Christian Resources Exhibition the Israeli Tourist Office has had a signficant presence situated alongside the stands of the pro-Israel para-church organisations mentioned above. We personally know that a growing number of Jewish people in London are touched by the support received from Christians.
