Why are there so many arguments/discussions in relation to the middle eastern status???
Robert B. Arbetman mentions that Christians were motivated by anti-Semitism.
This is wrong, since Bible believing people have always acknowledged the importance of the Jews, and that without them the Gentiles would never have had a chance with God. It is true to say, however, that Jews have never accepted Christians as
equals since they would need to accept Jesus as the Saviour (which will happen). The Catholic church in all reality can be categorised as anti-Semitic, with historical accounts depicting violent actions against Jews, Christ's Saints and other groups.
So Christians are not and were never anti-Semitic, since both groups do not yet share a common foundation.
Also as noted by Steve Wells,
"Don't they believe that in order for the second coming of Christ that the Jews have to be in Israel?"
YES we do, and it is on this point that Christians, by the power of God, take a non-violent stand for the right of the Jews to live in their land.
Finally, all of these argument/discussions are pointless when one considers that the intellectuals view everything from a physical, political and monetary standpoint. The spiritual side of events and outcomes are more often than not waved away as
mere chance.
