Insane?Reader comment on item: Deterring Tehran Submitted by Blackspeare (United States), May 11, 2006 at 23:02 The letter was more of a philosophical harrangue though Ahmadinejad did make one good point. While he did condemn the 9/11 attack to some extent he mostly blamed the US authorities for not catching and stopping the terrorists. Right now we can't see the forest because of the trees, but future historians will clarify that the failure of 9/11 was not an oversight, but the result of downright careless mistakes bordering on dereliction of duty that no one paid for. Bush and his minions carefully protected the guilty, even giving them awards, stonewalled as much as they could, and paid off the victim families to avoid a lawsuit that would have uncovered even more than we know today.
