Another PossibilityReader comment on item: Deterring Tehran Submitted by Blackspeare (United States), May 10, 2006 at 16:46 Harrak... In the Middle East all problems center on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In that regard, what would you say to a one-state solution? As I envision it, it would be a federation with Israel and Palestine as autonomous states in a nation under a combined government. Of course with the population overwhelmingly Muslim, the nation would revert to a Arabic entity. With an Arabic entity the land once again becomes Muslim land and that issue is resolved. Of course, the Israeli state would need strong international guarantees as well as their own deterrent much as the Kurds have in Kurdistan. Better than a nuclear war!!!
