US talking stick giving carots..a new Important Fatwa
Reader comment on item: Deterring Tehran

Submitted by Harrak (Canada), May 11, 2006 at 11:03

..well now USA, Britain and France are giving Iran the acceptance and the recognition of her right to enrich Uranium (Unlike what they were sayying some weeks ago) provided the operation is monitored by the IAEA. That is actually what Iran wanted..an other Bravo for the smart Mullahs.

The US always was taking stick to please the local consumption, in fact, they are since the beginning giving carrots to Iran from fighting Iran`s enemies in Afghanistan to Iran enemy in Iraq to now blessing her peaceful nuke program..wonderful!

Today, in a timely studied gesture, Grand Ayatollah Muhamad Hussayn Fazlullah (Lebanon) issued a Fatwa sayying: " It is a Wajib -obligation- to defend Iran once it is attacked" so defending Iran will be for the followers like prayer and fasting. This fatwa is important in a way that it turns the second biggest Shiite group in Iraq -Hizbo` Daawa- against the US. this Daawa party are the elite in the current government and they follow Ayatollah Fazlullah. Strategically speaking, if Iran is attacked (which will never happen), the USA will have to face the following fractions in Iraq:

1- Sadrists----Ayatollah Kazim al Haeri in Iran

2-Daawa party (positioned in high ranking interior ministry and defense)----Ayt Fazlullah in Lebanon

3-Hizbollah el Iraq -linked to Iranian revolutionary guard-------Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Iran

4-The Islamic revolution council-------Ayatollah Muhamad saeed Al HAkim.

Like you see here, even Ayatollah Sistani is way less powerful than ever thought. Nonetheless, he will never Fatwa contrary to the mentioned ones above.

There are international dimensions to the said Fatwa..
