Harrak!Reader comment on item: Deterring Tehran Submitted by Sword of Islam & The Babies of Beslan (United Kingdom), May 16, 2006 at 17:58 Keep barking, Harrak. You're defending a third world country with a medieval army that relies on antique weapons purchased from countries looking to get rid of their old 1930's stock. The only thing preventing you from getting the ashkicking that you need is the thing that frightens you most - democracy. Having already fought two successive wars against other such primitive countries, and spending so much money bringing them out of the Dark Ages that you seem so happy living in, it is unlikely that a further war - however brief - would be popular with voters. When I read your comments I am reminded of Saddam Hussein's representative Comical Ali who was denying that the Coalition was anywhere near Baghdad - even when US tanks were visible right behind him when he was making this statement on TV. You've no idea how funny you guys appear to us!!! Keep it up. It's like watching a really aggressive French Poodle. Very loud, but ultimately dangerous only to itself. Just like Iran! It's quite clear to everybody that Iran is only after some handouts from the US which is why they want to deal with the US directly rather than the UN - hence the begging letters that the Iranians have recently sent to the White House. Too late. We learnt not to trust such criminals during our dealings with North Korea just prior to the Iraq war. They too were very noisy prior to the invasion but when curiously quiet when we invaded. Looks like they found a stooge to take the fall for them, doesn't it? A pity that Iran is too dumb to realise this. Read a newspaper, for Allah's sake! Sorry, but you'll have to deal through the UN. We don't like you enough to feed you with any of the scraps from our table. Get a job. We're reserving our charity for the Iraqi's. Looks like you'll have to take your begging bowl to the UN and hope that they feed you some crumbs. I say that the best way to train a dog is to starve him. Hopefully, Kofi Annan will, for once, actually do something other than mumble empty platitudes and avoid making any kind of decision as is normally the case.
