I mean really Nida

. Its nice to see that you are an Islamopacifist by the sounds - but can you educate your flock to these ideals a bit pleae..? I dont wish to 'offend' you because you sound sincere in your post - however, people have brains, eyes & ears. Flowery words are wonderfull - but if the reality is in complete confict - they lose their currency.

I could pull bits of your post out and debate them all day - but I have work to do - so just a few hey..?

"Islam strictly forbids the killing of innocent, non-aggressive people:…no hostility is allowed except against the aggressors. (Ch.2: v.194) - These three verses alone are sufficient to prevent Muslims from crashing airplanes into buildings, or from sending suicide bombers to blow up innocent civilians" This will be comforting to the families of the victims in NYC, London, Madrid & Bali...to name the most obvious. But perahaps they were 'aggressors' because they were non muslem westerners of course.

"But Islam does not content itself with these injunctions strongly forbidding Muslims from ever becoming terrorists" Are their different Korans circulating...?

"No bishop will be expelled from his bishopric, no monk from his monastery, no priest from his place of worship, and no pilgrim will be detained in his pilgrimage" Religious tolerance in Muslems lands..? A laughable claim.

I think this is what frustrates the west most about Islam. The sheer hypocrisy and stubborn refusal to be honest about the realities.

Clinging blindly to words of a centuries old text in a modern enlightened world. The west isnt perfect - very far from it - We are responsible for more than our share of atrocities. But we do have an open dialogue, that over time generally allows some 'perspective' to filter through to any that seek the truth.

Islam defies enlightenment and clashes with an intelligent world as a result. Words are meaningless without the subsequent action. Can you find something in the holy book that explains this..?
