Response to Reuben

Reader comment on item: Islamists, Get Out

I thoroughly endorse Reuben's excellent and eloquent letter. It describes exactly what we in the UK are facing and the apparent impotence of politicians to remove these people from our territory. Muslims in Britain generally show little or no interest in integration. We are not permitted to visit their mosques while churches open their doors to everyone. They segregate in colonies, demand that schools and places of work change their rules to accommodate their dress and food requirements - all things which the accommodating British have done - yet still whine about racism and ill treatment, all of which is palpably untrue. In the wake of the recent bombings in London, some of their leaders who were invited to collaborate the police and the Government openly dismissed the identity of the bombers as not "proven," casting doubt on the police and the authorities. On a TV slot, one of these imams from Birmingham was invited to give his opinion standing next to a visibly embarrassed police constable as he ranted on with his conspiracy theories that the bombers weren't even Muslims.

Another so called leader, in the immediate aftermath of the bombings warned his female followers in an openly incendiary speech that they could be excused from wearing the hijab outside, thus deceitfully and maliciously implying that Muslim women would be attacked by Nazi white British people, an occurrence which exists only in his morbid imagination and which is yet another example of the extreme manipulation and duplicity of these people. Many British people are beginning to question what, indeed, is the contribution of Muslims to our society economically or otherwise when a large portion of the Bangladeshi community - 63% according to Government figures - are either in receipt of benefits or not economically active.

Ordinary people question why people who profess not to like us reside in £200,000 houses on welfare and receive a car worth £30,000 when British people who have lived and worked here all their lives would have a problem getting anything at all - a boot in the butt would be more like it.
