What do you mean by discrimination?Reader comment on item: Reflections on the Revolution in France* Submitted by barbara (United States), Jan 29, 2006 at 15:44 As the child of South European immigrants in America during the last century, I know all about what you call "discrimination".Believe me, if you speak, read and write Good English ( if you remember that the nominative case for the personal pronoun of the first person singular is a capital "I" not "i"-) and if you have good manners and your clothes are sensible, modest, clean and neat - EVERY door will open for you. America needs you. Indeed, people will be grateful to know you and have you around. A word to the wise barbara Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
