Josloff's "Response to Sultan"

Bruce Josloff hits the nail on its head!

However, he states that "Within the next 25 years the Chinese (Sinic) and Indian (Hindu) civilizations will assert their global primacy in both commerce, investment and exploitation of the world's resources". I don't agree entirely with that.

I am not too sure about the Chinese, who have so far acted in a manner that bolsters the argument. But the world need not fear India if indeed the 'Hindu' asserts himself. ('Hindu' is a misnomer really. It should rightly be called 'indigenous inspiration', I feel).

With that rider, it needs to be understood that Hindu thought system is based on "profit optimization", unlike the West's, which is founded on "profit maximization". Profit is not the ultimate aim, human welfare is.

Thus there is likely to be little "exploitation" if the Hindu remains inspired by pristine indigenous thought.
