One less assimiliation issue for the Gauls to resolve is the demand that Muslim immigrants should learn to speak French. The rioters have declared that violence is 'is the only way we express ourselves', and PM Villepin has acknowledged that France will heed their 'message' by stating that ;"we see these events as a warning and an appeal".
